NATURAL BEAUTY (a Natural Approach)
True beauty starts from within—not at the end of a needle.
While Botox and other quick-fix anti-aging treatments promise smooth skin, they often come with side effects, long-term consequences, and a disconnect from the body’s natural rhythms. Instead of freezing expressions or relying on synthetic solutions, more and more people are turning to natural approaches that support the body’s own healing and regenerative powers.
This blog explores how to cultivate radiant, healthy skin and hair—naturally, sustainably, and from the inside out.
1. Mineral Rebalancing – Start Inside-Out
Why: Mineral imbalances can show up as dull skin, puffiness, fine lines, and fatigue. Think of minerals as your inner spark plugs.
Consider an HTMA (Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis) test — you can join my 3 month coaching that includes an option to add an HTMA lab!
Focus on replenishing sodium, potassium, and magnesium first if depleted (common after 40+).
Add a high-quality sea salt, adrenal cocktails (OJ + coconut water + salt), and possibly magnesium glycinate or topical magnesium.
2. Collagen Support Through Food & Lifestyle
Why: Skin thinning, fine lines, and sagging often relate to collagen breakdown and blood sugar imbalances.
Drink bone broth 3–5x per week (homemade or store-bought).
Eat vitamin C-rich foods daily (bell peppers, citrus, berries).
Try collagen peptides if your budget allows.
3. Facial Muscle Tone – Skin Tightening Naturally
Why: Facial muscles weaken with age. Toning them gives a lifted, youthful look.
Start a free YouTube routine like Face Yoga by Koko Hayashi or Fumiko Takatsu.
Gua sha or jade rolling (tools are ~$20 or less) to de-puff and improve circulation.
Bonus: Helps lymphatic drainage — reduces that “tired” or puffy look.
4. Glucose Balance for Glow
Why: Blood sugar rollercoasters age the skin fast (glycation = wrinkles).
Eat protein, fat, fiber with every meal.
Walk after meals (15 min) = better glucose control + glowy skin.
Consider apple cider vinegar before meals (diluted in water).
5. Clean Up Skincare – Simple, Natural & Effective
Why: Conventional skincare can disrupt your hormones and damage your skin barrier.
Switch to non-toxic brands (like Andalou, Cocoon Apothecary — Canadian! — or The Ordinary for budget serums).
Look for niacinamide or vitamin C serum in the morning, and a gentle retinol alternative (like bakuchiol) at night.
Squalane or rose oil for hydration — both affordable and effective. I also rotate in castor oil and/or beef tallow. Yes, beef tallow! I add frankincense to both. (get the best quality oils here)
6. Lifestyle Glow-Ups
Why: It shows when you’re rested, hydrated, and aligned.
Hydrate! Add a pinch of sea salt or minerals to your water.
Prioritize sleep (10–10:30pm bedtime is gold for skin regeneration).
Practice something that brings joy or calms your nervous system — even 10 mins/day (walks, breathwork, creative play).
OPTIONAL BONUS – Light Makeup Refresh
Try a tinted mineral SPF for glow + protection. (use the Yuka to look for clean options)
Cream blush and brow gel go a long way to lift the face naturally. I’m loving Jones Road.
Focus on hydration + brows + cheeks for a fresh, lifted look (you already have a beautiful natural base!).
